Mission Statement

The Brooke Crawmer-Joseph Foundation is a community of family and friends committed to keeping the values and spirit of Brooke Crawmer-Joseph alive through supporting the community of Central Illinois, inspiring families and youth, and creating hope for those touched by cancer by promoting awareness for and contributing to the prevention of cancers caused by the Human papillomavirus (HPV).

Who is Brooke Crawmer-Joseph?

Brooke was a mother, a sister, a daughter, a friend, and a teacher.  She taught science at Dunlap Valley Middle School. She loved science and teaching.

In February 2014, just after giving birth to her beautiful son Nash, Brooke was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer. Despite the gravity of this diagnosis, faced this situation with incomprehensible courage and clung to her faith, friends, and family to support her throughout her battle. Brooke chose to not let cancer define her! She showed up every day possible to Dunlap Valley Middle School to teach the young minds of the future, while inspiring them every day with fight & NEVER GIVE UP attitude.

Brooke lost her battle on August 15, 2015, leaving behind her husband Kevin and her 2 children Zephin & Nash, but left behind a legacy that will outlive us all!

The Brooke Crawmer-Joseph Foundation is a community of family and friends committed to keeping the spirit of Brooke Joseph alive through supporting families and youth, and creating hope for teachers touched by cancer. This foundation was founded to provide support to teachers in the Central Illinois Community diagnosed with cancer. We are also creating awareness to Cervical Cancer prevention by partnering with other non-profit organizations who help provide information and vaccines for the HPV virus that causes Cervical Cancer.
